Head of the State Inspection of Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Chief Sanitary Inspector of the country Nurmat Otabekov notes:

– The number of coronavirus infected in Uzbekistan has reached 2314 people. 79 citizens were completely cured on May 7 and transferred to rehabilitation centers. 1656 people have already recovered. This is 72 percent of total number of cases. Nine patients’ condition out of 648 being treated in clinics is serious.

About 42 thousand citizens are under quarantine. Over the past day, 12,600 tests, and more than 371 thousand laboratory tests were conducted in total.
